​66歲的惠鈴投入寄養家庭已經滿18年，從寄養媽媽，當到寄養阿嬤，他陸續照顧過15個孩子。會投入這份特別的工作，跟老公文章有很大的關係。 惠鈴：「那一個師傅跟我講，他說，你先生的業障很重！」 文章：「做這個工作之後，我感覺說老天有眼，至少我的家庭和樂。」 惠鈴一家三代住在一起，老公和兒女也一起幫忙照顧寄養的孩子。她說：「今天當寄養家庭不是我一個人在當，是我們全家人。」他們最初照顧的第一個孩子怡婷，成年後獨立生活，但已被認定是這個家永遠的小女兒。 不過，當他們越把寄養孩子都當成家人，分開的時候，就越難放下。 「對大人來講，就是需要很久的時間調適。」 而登門拜訪的嘉賓，有辦法順利緩解這家人的分離焦慮嗎？ Long-term foster carers know the joys of fostering, but after forging such a close bond with a child, they also know the deep pain when a child leaves.
