Subtitles available | Turn on CC button and choose your language Join me for a quiet and cozy winter day in The Hague 🤍✨️ This vlog starts early in the morning while the sky is still dark and follows my simple daily routine warm drinks, a calm breakfast, and getting ready to go out. I walk through the city center of The Hague, enjoy a gifted coffee from NS at Central Station, visit the lovely Dill & Kamille store, and take in the peaceful shop vibes along the way. Back home, I show my shopping and spend the afternoon baking butter cookies in three flavors. The day ends softly with herbal tea and homemade cookies in the evening. --- 🍪 Three-Color Stamped Butter Cookies (Vanilla • Cinnamon • Cocoa — no spread) Ingredients For EACH dough (make 3 separate doughs): • 50 g unsalted butter, softened • 27 g powdered sugar (icing sugar) • 1 tsp egg yolk • 70 g all-purpose flour • 8 g cornstarch • Pinch of salt Flavor additions Vanilla dough: • ⅓ tsp vanilla extract Cinnamon dough: • 1 tbsp cinnamon powder Cocoa dough: • 1 tbsp cocoa powder • ½–1 tsp milk (only if needed) Instructions 1. For each dough, cream the softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth (do not overmix). 2. Add egg yolk (and vanilla for the vanilla dough) and mix until combined. 3. Add flour, cornstarch, salt, and the flavoring (cinnamon or cocoa if using). 4. Mix gently until a soft dough forms. 5. If the cinnamon or cocoa dough feels dry, add ½ teaspoon milk. 6. Wrap each dough separately and chill in the refrigerator for 45–60 minutes. 7. Combine the three doughs (marble, stripes, or mosaic style), roll to about 1 cm thickness, and press with a cookie stamp. 8. Chill stamped cookies for 10–15 minutes. 9. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for 10–12 minutes, until set but still pale. 10.
