This is a Motormouth couple car review of the updated 2026 Honda CR-V with a new TrailSport trim. The 2026 Honda CR-V has two powertrain options, a hybrid with a 2L 4-cylinder and a pair of electric motors, it’s matched to an e-CVT and has a combined 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque, standard AWD in Canada. FWD and AWD options are available in the US. The base 2026 Honda CR-V engine is 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder matched to a CVT, 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. FWD and AWD options are available. What’s New for the 2026 Honda CR-V? Honda adds more standard equipment, a new TrailSport model with a more rugged design and improved traction and capability. It has a new front fascia, silver skid garnish, a piano black rear spoiler, black door handles and window surrounds, 18” all-terrain tires and orange TrailSport badges on the grille and tailgate. Canada also adds more hybrid trims including a Sport hybrid, there are four hybrid models to choose from now. In the US, there are also four hybrid trims but the US always had more hybrid models available. 2026 Honda CR-V standard features include, a 9” touchscreen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android and a wireless charger. There’s an available 10.25” digital driver display, google and Amazon Alexa built-in which we have on our test model. There is no Sirius XM. The interior has TrailSport embroidered on the front seat headrests, rubber floor mats with TrailSport badging and amber lighting in a variety of places. The 2026 Honda CR-V is missing features other competitors have like ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 360 camera, a power passenger seat and a height adjustment on the passenger seat.
