Lindsay Thornton, principal of Cornerstone Design & Build, took a multifaceted approach to renovating this family home in midtown Toronto. To achieve the clients’ desired look, she first reworked the main-floor layout, removing walls to transform the cramped galley kitchen into an open-concept space with a stunning 10-foot island. Light oak accents complement the quartz countertops, creating a calming, earthy feel.
