This is a 1991 MK2 GTI that was abandoned outside a barn for 10 years. My buddy Jeff at The Common Gear found it as I've been looking for the perfect GTI to add to the AMMO fleet. Over the course of 5 weeks, I document the process of a complete detail at the AMMO Studio, a full Montana Green repaint at J&B Bodyworks, Mechanical Restoration thanks to VW Garage, BillT Industries, Ace Performance, and FCP Euro. The interior and audio feature custom work from DID Upholstery and AutoMaxx. All with the goal to drive to the Sunday Motor Meet at Lime Rock Park.
