Stranger Things Has To Use More Prosthetics Than You Think! Hey, TheThings fans! Welcome back to another video. The Stranger Things cast have shown us time and time again how dedicated they are to bringing us the best version of their sci-fi series that they can - even if it’s at the expense of their own comfort. The Duffer Brothers have always prided themselves on incorporating more practical effects in the age of digital technology and that includes prosthetics. However, prosthetics and movie makeup aren’t always the most comfortable. Spending some time in the makeup department doesn’t seem like the worst thing to do, however these actors' makeup transformations often led to pain and discomfort. From prosthetics legs, fake scars, and Mind Flayer leg wounds things got intense both off and on screen in Stranger Things seasons 1, 2 and 3. The department went as far as blowing menthol in one of their actors' eyes in order to achieve a certain spooky look. Ready to find out how they were able to achieve Billy’s flayed appearance or how the demogorgon came to be? That’s right, in season 1, the demogorgon wasn't digitally created which led to plenty of complications for the demogorgon actor. Taking a behind the scenes look at all the gore and creatures in Stranger Things really gives you a greater appreciation for all the work that goes on from professionals other than the actors and directors - while also showing us that an actor's life isn’t always luxurious.
