Le mardi 25 mars 2025, la commission d'enquête du Sénat sur l'utilisation des aides publiques aux grandes entreprises et à leurs sous-traitants auditionnait le Président-Directeur général de TotalEnergies, Patrick Pouyanné. Le patron du groupe pétrolier français a fait l'inventaire des aides publiques touchées par l'entreprise et a rappelé qu'elles étaient "déterminantes" puisqu'elles faisaient "travailler des PME françaises". Le rapporteur de la commission d'enquête, Fabien Gay, a affirmé que Patrick Pouyanné était "le premier nom" qu'il avait mis sur sa liste lorsqu'il a eu connaissance de la création de la commission d'enquête. Le PDG de TotalEnergies a surpris les sénateurs en disant qu'il était pour un "retour" des aides à l'Etat lorsque les entreprises en difficulté aidées par l'argent public se portaient mieux financièrement. Il a également dit que les Français étaient "légitimes à savoir ce que devient leur argent", plaidant ainsi pour une transparence renforcée. Année de Production :
