He is now preparing for his new trial. Peterson was convicted in 2004 of the homicide of Laci Peterson, 27 at the time, and their unborn son, Connor. Laci was eight months pregnant at the time. In August 2020, the Supreme Court had overturned his sentence, citing "significant errors" in the jury selection process.
