At the start of may The developers and Publisher of Anno 117: Pax Romana decided to invite several creators to rome to try-out the gameplay of their upcoming anno game. Myself and the wonderful PotatoMcWhiskey of Civ fame will be talking about our time with the game as well as our many exploits in the world of anno and well the many exploits I found with the gameplay of Anno Rome. It is safe to say the developers were a little bit surprised with the pace at which I was attempting to find exploits with what was meant to be a short gameplay demo and developer discussion. Now for myself and potato we are both big fans of the anno series so we are of course biased as this is a game series we both love. However outside of mentioning some of the games talking points and design goals we have free reign to say what we like and dont like with anno. I would say generally this is the next logical step from Anno 1800 and the devs have Romanised not just the world but the gameplay loop in a way that is different from past anno games.
