ANSYS Meshing - Pinch - Local Mesh Controls - (Geometry Defeaturing)

Video Description

The "PINCH" option from the Local Mesh Controls is used to defeature/decompose certain irrelevant geometries (small extrusions, holes & design features) where the finite elements get accumulated by default meshing algorithms. By using pinch meshing algorithm, the mesh creation can be controlled and minimized in the unwanted areas thus reducing the number of elements and the time for solving.
