On the 25th anniversary of the founding of Armani/Casa, Giorgio Armani presents the Oriental Inks collection in-store at 14 Corso Venezia.   In the collection, the pragmatism of form and a taste for décor come together in a unique and thrilling balance, made possible through antique craftsmanship and the utmost attention to detail. Fine materials and complex workmanship give light and texture to the furniture and accessories, the stars of a display designed to enhance their beauty. The project, which involves hand-painting and hand-crafted embroidery specialist de Gournay, represents the perfect synthesis between creativity and art. Emphasis is placed on the quality of the watercolours or ink drawings typical of far-off aesthetics. Depicting bamboo, dragons and the dense vegetation of the jungle, these decorative works of art are the starting point for exploring sophisticated techniques that allow these motifs to be applied on fabrics, fine woods and lacquered surfaces. The large Trocadero table showcases a delicate geometric motif created with brass filaments embedded in black lacquer, while the Ambra padded chair features a curved backrest and a Canaletto walnut wood frame.
