Relaxing Palette Knife Painting ASMR: Watch as I create a vibrant painting of a sailing ship using oil paint, palette knife, and a little bit of brushing. Enjoy the painting session with headphones to hear the drawing sounds and palette knife scraping, scratching, and mixing on board. This was a challenging piece to paint, that required more accuracy than I normally prefer. 😊 I tried a different method of painting in wax where I brought the sky and water mostly to completion before layering on the ship last. I think it gives the piece a nice cohesiveness overall. In particular I enjoyed the experience of layering over dry wax on the second day. The velvety texture of the dry previous layer was lovely to blend over to bring out the warm highlights and details in the water and in the sails.
