Hazleton is a small, picturesque village in Gloucestershire, set within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has ancient roots — once home to the Hazleton Long Barrows, Neolithic burial sites dating back over 5,000 years, making this area one of the earliest known farming settlements in Britain. The current village grew during the medieval period, with farming at its heart. Many of the cottages and farm buildings you see today date from the 17th and 18th centuries, built from classic honey-coloured Cotswold stone that glows beautifully under the autumn light. The surrounding landscape is rich with wooded valleys, rolling hills, and quiet walking tracks connecting to nearby historic villages like Turkdean and Northleach.
