The banker learned he had successfully cashed a $6,000 check at a different location, and his account had already been reported, so he managed to stall time and call police. Heriberto Varela, 19, was charged with felony grand theft, felony uttering a forged instrument, felony use of personal ID, and felony organized scheme to defraud.
