After three years in the galleys, Judah Ben-Hur (Charlton Heston) is assigned to Roman Consul Quintus Arrius' flagship. When the pirates ram and board the flagship, Ben-Hur fights his way to the deck where he saves the Consul's life by jumping into the sea. Then, Judah and Arrius are at the mercy of whichever vessel finds them.
