Video Description

This talk explores the overlooked value of the humanities alongside STEM. It questions societal biases and highlights how different fields contribute to progress in unique ways. The speaker advocates for a more balanced appreciation of diverse types of intelligence. Natalie is a 15-year-old student at Green School Dighomi. In her free time, she enjoys reading, learning new languages, and exploring connections between psychology, logic, and creativity. Whether debating, painting, or performing on stage, she is drawn to different ways of understanding and expressing ideas. Balancing logic and artistry, she always searches for patterns whether in human behavior or brushstrokes. She believes that storytelling through words, art, or research can bridge gaps between different individuals and their unique perspectives. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
