Broken Vise Repair Tested
Fireball Tool
View ChannelAbout
Hi, I’m Jason, welcome to my channel. I want to share my enthusiasm for tools and big iron through projects that incorporate welding, machining, and general fabrication. My personal background includes work as a car tuner/fabricator, a millwright maintaining production equipment in a steel making plant, an iron worker erecting steel frame buildings, and a custom metal fabricator for homes and commercial buildings. My website and business, Fireball Tool, was created to bring great tools to the metal fabrication and machining community. My best days in the shop are spent tinkering with new tool designs, taking on new projects, and making videos for this channel. Enjoy and thank you for watching.

Video Description
This modification made the vise a dream to work with. I really enjoyed this vintage Prentiss vise and after breaking it in the vise comparison video, I knew I had to fix it. Thank you for watching and I can't wait to show you whats next. Even though I didn't do a full restoration I like the way it functions and looks. It was fun to weld cast iron. I rarely get to braze so i took advantage of the opportunity. I added bearings to the screw and rebuilt the spindle for max performance. I repaired the cast iron crack and made the sliding jaw of the vise stronger. US Store: https://fireballtool.com/ EU Store: http://fireballeu.com/
