In this video, I build a fully customized workbench designed for CAD work, soldering, electronics projects, and 3D-printing. This new workstation completely transforms my workshop and finally gives me a dedicated space for prototyping, assembling components, and working efficiently on small technical projects. To make the setup even more powerful, I install a Mac mini directly into the workbench. This lets me control my 3D printers, create wiring diagrams, program microcontrollers, manage music, view datasheets, and handle my entire workflow in one spot. I also modify a monitor arm so the screen can be raised or lowered depending on the task — perfect for both soldering and CAD modeling. While I didn’t have time to fill all the drawers and sorting boxes with components before uploading this video, that part is coming soon. They’ll eventually be organized with electronics components, machine screws, brass inserts, bearings, magnets, and all my 3D-printing accessories. In addition to the workbench itself, I also build a new metal storage system and a new hanging solution for my Makita tools, helping me keep the workshop clean, efficient, and ready for upcoming projects. A new chair completes the setup, making long work sessions far more comfortable.
