In this video, I found a discarded "Eagle King 5800" chainsaw buried in a local scrapyard. If I hadn't picked it up, it would have been melted down for scrap. I bought it for about $5–6 (¥40) and decided to restore it completely. 🛠️ Full Restoration Process: 1️⃣ Complete disassembly — my first time restoring a two-stroke gasoline engine. 2️⃣ Deep cleaning: removed heavy carbon deposits, replaced crankshaft bearings, and ultrasonic-cleaned oily parts with diesel. 3️⃣ Rust treatment for the chain, sandblasting and repainting the guide bar and muffler. 4️⃣ Replaced missing safety brake parts. 5️⃣ Dramatic moment during testing: The flywheel I repaired with epoxy suddenly shattered at high RPM, destroying the flywheel cover, ignition coil, and starter housing! Luckily, no one was hurt. 6️⃣ Replaced broken parts and finally got it running smoothly. Despite the challenges, this restoration gave this overlooked tool a second life — saving resources and reducing waste.
