My last day in Chennai and while I loved my stay in Leela Palace, I had to get back outside and get some local food. So after touring around the breakfast (I didn't eat too much because I didn't want to spoil my appetite), I headed out to the beach. I could literally see this spot from the hotel so I was curious to walk around this area. It just so happens that this area of Chennai is loaded with seafood restaurants. I ended up eating at Meenavan unavagam because it looked like it had the most ratings on google. I must say this was such a good choice. The local people helped me order before finally the owner came over and really hooked me up with an overload of seafood! My favorite was actually the squid which I am usually not a fan of but dang this was too good not to like. After all that flavor and seafood, I was really thirsty so I found this person selling slap drink soda! This is such a refreshing carbonated drink and it hit the spot after so much seafood!
