In this very special video we're onboard Condor's A330NEO with the pilots documenting the nearly 11-hour flight from Frankfurt (FRA) to Mauritius (MRU) from the jumpseat. With a crew that is especially eager to explain the inner workings of the aircraft and everything to do with a flight like this, and a very interesting route out over Cairo and much of East Africa before heading out over the Indian Ocean, this is a truly memorable learning experience full of great aviation knowledge and beautiful views on a full moon evening too! Learn about some of the unique quirks of the airways and corridors transiting Egyptian and Saudi airspace before cross Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Somalia! There's GPS jamming (GNSS interference), there's SLOP (strategic lateral offset position), an inflight broadcasting system in which aircraft talk to each other to improve situational awareness in degraded air traffic control environments, and much more.
