They began with a 30' diameter yurt kit, then custom-built a beautiful, whimsical interior with a loft bedroom. About 700 sqft. It sits on 23 acres, transformed from raw land to a fully off-the-grid homestead with a robust solar power system, rainwater catchment, and a HomeBiogas setup that turns waste into cooking gas. The build process involved extreme heat----took sacrifice but was 100% worth it. It mostly paid for with cash as they went. They're now debt-free and live very affordably.
