On the other hand, Hong Kong and Singapore have withdrawn spices from two Indian brands- MDH and EVEREST - because a pesticide called ethylene oxide was found in them. Why are these companies able to do things like this? More importantly, why are the Indian food regulatory authorities not able to spot this?
