When Al Kresta – founder of Ave Maria Radio and friend of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist – fell ill with an infection, one of his reporters stepped in to fill the gap during Kresta’s six month absence. That six-month assignment was the beginning of Nick Thomm’s 12-year career as Kresta’s producer.   In this documentary, Kresta and other contributors recount Thomm’s brain tumor diagnosis at the age of twenty-seven, and how he turned to his faith to carry him through the following fifteen years of trials.   What many would consider to be a devastating tragedy, Nick accepted with complete trust in the Lord. His wife Jennifer was by his side through chemotherapy, multiple surgeries, and eventually the loss of his voice and mobility.
