The record combines his love of Paul McCartney, ELO’s Jeff Lynn, The Beach Boys, and The Beatles, not to mention The Strokes, The Cars, glam rock, LCD Soundsystem, and MGMT, and the result is a collection that’s rich and textured and catchy as hell. What Keery thought was going to be a break up album wound up spinning off into a beautiful exploration of the grounding forces of family and friends.
