Thousands have been evacuated from parts of the Bahamas and floods have killed dozens in Haiti as Hurricane Melissa continues to wreak havoc in the Caribbean. Melissa, one of the strongest Atlantic hurricanes on record, previously hit Jamaica with unprecedented 185mph winds on Tuesday. It has now started to pass over the Bahamas as a category 1 storm, after hitting Cuba and impacting Haiti on Wednesday.
