Today, I'm sharing my honest concerns about the current state of engineering careers in India. With over 550 engineering colleges shut down in the last six years and placement rates plummeting, the days of IT companies offering jobs to graduates regardless of their branch are gone. The harsh reality is that an engineering degree no longer guarantees employment, and many students are wasting precious years with outdated expectations about their career prospects. If you're entering college or struggling to find work after graduation, please understand that the competition is becoming tougher while job requirements are getting higher. Don't waste money on expensive colleges if you didn't qualify for top institutions. Focus on maintaining good grades, developing actual skills, and staying aware of market trends instead of spending four years in "party mode." There are still plenty of jobs available, especially in IT development, but only for those who meet the higher standards employers now demand.
