回想求學時光，班上總有那麼一位不受歡迎的同學，分組時沒有人願意與他一組，下課總是自己一人…校園內的霸凌早已不是新鮮事。有多年輔導經驗的羅丰苓老師直言：「由於學校的特殊環境，幾乎可以說有學校就有霸凌的存在。」 但霸凌並非我們腦海中單純「恃強凌弱」的景象。真實的情況，可能是一個智力很高、成績優秀的孩子，因為喜歡貶抑他人而被排擠；或者因衛生習慣不佳而讓人反感。羅丰苓老師也理性解析：「或許魔鬼在被激怒前，也是一名天使。」 老師強調，不論是霸凌者還是受凌者，檢討不等於怪罪，而是幫助孩子進步的契機。透過這個過程，孩子才能認識自己的行為，學會調整，才有可能經營出更和善的人際關係。
