Mat’s got his hands on the all-new Hennessey Velociraptor R 6x6, and he’s going head-to-head against the Hennessey F-150 Venom 775! So let’s see how these two all-American pick-ups compare. Starting with the Velociraptor, it’s based on the Ford F-150 Raptor R. This means it comes equipped with the same 5.2-litre supercharged V8 that can deliver 700hp and 870Nm of torque. This power is sent to all SIX wheels via a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The Velociraptor looks absolutely wild, and of course, it’s had a whole load of work done to it to add the additional set of wheels, including extending the load bed, and the additional of an extra axel! As a result, this means it’s super heavy, weighing in at around 3,500kg! Alongside it we have the Venom 775. This is also based on a Ford F-150, but under the bonnet, you’ll now find a 5-litre supercharged V8 that can put down 775hp and 929Nm! This power is sent to all four wheels via a 10-speed auto, and it tips the scales at 2,187kg. So how will this one play out - will the 6 wheels of the Velociraptor propel it to victory?
