En juillet 1990, Joseph Doucé, pasteur des marginaux, des transsexuels, homosexuels, disparaît. Il ne fait aucun doute qu'il a été enlevé. Mais par qui ? Pourquoi ? Les policiers de la brigade criminelle découvrent vite qu'il était surveillé de près par les Renseignements généraux. Leur enquête les conduit à Bernard Dufourg, un policier aux méthodes expéditives. Trois mois plus tard, le corps du pasteur est découvert en forêt de Rambouillet.
