It’s called the MG4 XPower - and it’s the most powerful MG… ever made. The MG4 XPower has 429bhp from a pair of electric motors, 201bhp in the front and 228bhp in the back. So it’s also got all-wheel drive. That means it’s got the grip to get from rest to 62mph in less than four seconds - 3.8 if we’re being picky - and on to a limited top speed of 124mph. And that’s basically as fast as a Porsche 911 Carrera S. This is what we’d call a bit of a sleeper - a car that doesn’t look fast, but actually is. In fact, unless you knew that the orange calipers for the big brakes behind those special 18-inch wheels were unique to the XPower, you might think it was the Trophy version. No massive bodykit, no huge wide arches. It is a bit lower and a tiny bit wider, but not so’s you’d notice. But it’s got a similar face, the same double rear spoiler, the same general look.
