This week kicks off with Kelly out in the garden, getting seeds in the ground while our free-ranging chickens do their best to “help” (mostly by trying to steal them). Back at the house, there’s a couple of new furry faces hanging around — and things are shifting indoors too, as we start setting up a new bedroom space with a bigger bed to fit our growing little family. Outside, we keep the momentum going with some work on the blacksmith shop, getting the forge closed in with clapboard. Then it’s time to check on something exciting — our very first eggs in the coop! It’s a big moment in our journey toward self-sufficiency. We wrap up with a visit to the pig pen to show how fast they’re growing, and finish off the week with a sit-down Q&A at the kitchen table, sharing a few thoughts and answering your questions.
