Doing this, I try to address historical disputes, indigenous claims, and sometimes just aesthetical issues or hypothetical scenarios. I restore Bolivia's sea access by reclaiming part of Chile's coast and grant land to the Mapuche people for their own state or autonomous region. I adjust Chile and Argentina's borders to reflect these changes and also somewhat improve territorial continuity along the coast. I propose an independent Amazonian Republic from Brazil's northern states to protect the rainforest, while southern Brazil would gain independence through its separatist movement too. I unite the historical Guianas into one nation, reducing Venezuela's size, and tweak Argentina’s borders by awarding a panhandle to Paraguay while leaving Uruguay unchanged. I explore native independence movements, like Qullasuyu in Peru's south, and maintain Ecuador, Colombia, and the Falkland Islands' statuses.
