It gives a raw and interesting look at the industrial decay happening in Thatcher’s Britain. As Fred takes down old factory chimneys, furnace works, and other buildings that used to be at the heart of Britain’s prosperity, his thoughts and views are woven into the footage, making it a standout piece of film making. (Source - My DVD of this release - Fred (1982) - which included this episode) Disc one features the first four episodes of Fred, while disc two includes the remaining three, along with the 1979 Fred Dibnah, Steeplejack - Featured here. Much thanks to BBC for claiming copyright, instead of striking this video (like most execs of media would do). I don't know what compelled such benevolent behavior from them, so thanks for allowing this video to remain up so viewers can see this fella named Fred Dibnah.
