Full Build 1960 F100: From Flooded to Back on the Road

Today we've brought in Clint Black's classic F-100 and are tearing it apart from top to bottom to breathe some new life into it. #f100 #truck #ford The main focus here is on the suspension system. The truck needed a complete overhaul, so we’re diving deep—removing old, rusty parts and installing brand-new components. The goal is to get this baby back on the road safely and reliably, without any surprises during its first drive. As we got into it, we discovered some pretty serious water damage. This old girl had practically been swimming before we rolled her into the shop! Because of that, we had to switch gears and find a replacement 223 inline six engine. We gave that a fresh coat of Ford blue paint and got it ready for installation. One funny (or not-so-funny) thing we found was the rear shocks. Eric noticed right away that they were completely shot, he could move them around by hand easily, which isn't supposed to happen. The studs meant to hold them in place had either broken off or been poorly repaired in the past, so that was another fix on our list. From crusty, rusty old parts to a shinier and more reliable truck, this build was all about bringing new life into an old classic.
