The Home Office has said it will give officers more powers to target repeated protests, aimed particularly at cracking down on demonstrations connected to Gaza. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood said this was not about banning, but about restrictions. This comes after 500 arrests SATURDAY PROTESTS FLOAT were made in London on Saturday at a protest supporting proscribed group Palestine Action, organised by Defend our Juries. The protest went ahead despite pleas from ministers and police who called for protests to be postponed following Thursday's deadly synagogue attack in Manchester.
