This talk will serve to introduce the audience to the “path of radical love” (mazhab-e ‘eshq), a powerful current of mysticism in Islam that begins with a bold claim: There is, ultimately, One Love. This talk by Professor Safi, the Director of Islamic Studies at Duke University, will also serve as an introduction to how to read Rumi as a Muslim sage.
