The E series of lenses represents "excellence" to the highest optical standard that can be produced today. The 35-100E is surprisingly light weight for a zoom lens of this size and is well balanced for shooting. As long as you don't need a compact lens, this is one of the best lenses on the XCD system that I've used. The autofocus motors match the performance from the new X2D II and the shutter is almost silent. This is an outstanding lens for the X2D II and the XCD system in general.
