I am thrilled to share my review of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the best of the best of what Apple has to offer. I will share my thoughts on using the 14 Pro Max for the past weeks, including my experience switching from the smaller iPhone 13. What’s new? 4 main upgrades with the 14 Pro line. Dynamic Island. Camera upgrades. Safety features. A16 Bionic chip. Design and display. iPhone 14 Pro features same squared off design from the 13 Pro, still a stunning matte glass and stainless steel design in this new space black colour. On the front is the Dynamic Island. By merging hardware and software, it creates a new way to interact with notifications, widgets and apps. Changes size depending on what you do. Dynamic island also houses FaceID fast, reliable and secure. Which size is right for you? Will depend on how you use your phone. For me, as someone who previously always used the regular 6.1” size, going up to the 6.7” 14 Pro Max was easier than I thought. I got used to the larger size in a matter of days and now prefer it. The 14 Pro Max is still portable, pocketable and semi-one hand usable. For me this is a small tradeoff, as in return you get more room for well, everything; text, menus, videos and larger keyboard are such nice quality of life improvements. 120hz for super smooth animations, which once you’re used to it, is hard to go back to 60hz on the regular iPhone 14. Now up to 2000 nits of brightness outdoors. iPhone 14 Pro Max adds an always on display. Camera. Like the 14 Pro the 14 Pro Max brings the same big camera upgrades. Namely 48mp wide main sensor. I can safely say iPhone 14 Pro Max has the best camera system on any smartphone. 4K video looks incredible, I even use b-roll shots in my YouTube videos shot on the 14 Pro Max. The selfie camera now has auto focus. This year only iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max get the new A16 Bionic chip. A16 good for two reasons: fantastic performance today, and longevity. I expect the 14 Pro Max to get 7 years of software updates. More compared to iPhone 14 with older A15 Bionic. The iPhone 14 Pro Max adds 2 new safety features, crash detection and emergency SOS via satellite. Battery life on the iPhone 14 Pro is amazing. It can last me all day and evening, with 40% remaining. I can get 9-10hrs of screen on time. At the end of the day, should you upgrade to the iPhone 14 Pro Max? iPhone 14 Pro Max offers 4 big upgrades: New Dynamic Island, Big camera upgrades, New Safety features, A16 Bionic chip. If you’re thinking of upgrading or switching from the regular 11 or 12 to your first Pro Max iPhone, there is no better time to do so as this year, the difference between the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro line is bigger than ever. Compared to the smaller 14 Pro, the 14 Pro Max offers better value, more phone for your money, if you can manage the size, you’ll want to go for the Pro Max for it’s larger display and incredible battery life!
