Video Description
This is a high temperature Stirling Engine. Invented in 1816 by Robert Stirling as an alternative to Steam Engines and in this case is powered by a small flame heating the engine directly. A Stirling engine is a heat engine that is operated by the cyclical compression and expansion of air between different temperatures, resulting in a net conversion of heat energy to mechanical work. Stirling engines are often used in applications where continuous and reliable power generation is required, like in some spacecraft, submarines, and certain renewable energy systems. This kit is beautifully engineered and easy to build, it's made by @KontaxEngineeringLtd and is available here; https://www.stirlingengine.co.uk/d.asp?product=NANOCANNON_KIT
