Suga Lal, a poor farmer, climbs as high as 5,500 meters with his wife and two sons, hoping to collect enough of this elusive treasure to survive the year. But the higher they go, the harder it gets—and the fewer specimens they find. Meanwhile, Dhanchandra, a buyer working for a wealthy Kathmandu dealer, travels camp to camp carrying bags of cash. His job is risky—bandits are everywhere—and sometimes the harvest must be escorted by armed soldiers just to reach the capital.
