This chilling documentary explores the vicious spiral of violence in Honduras, where gangs — particularly the "18th Street" and "Salvatrucha" Maras — reign supreme over the public transportation sector. Bus and taxi drivers are extorted daily under threat of death: over the past decade, more than 1,000 transport workers have been murdered for refusing to pay extortion fees. Through testimonies from former gang members, victims, entrepreneurs, and police officers, the film exposes a system of terror where fear, murder, and institutional corruption dominate everyday life. Despite the creation of special anti-extortion units and purges within the police force, the scourge remains deeply rooted, fueled by poverty, impunity, and the infiltration of the Maras into the highest levels of government.
