Our journey to kolkata began from Delhi via Kanpur and Patna. I tasted Patna street food on the patna station for the first time. I tasted local favorites of various local street food vendors who came to sell on the train like moong chana chaat, jal muri, paratha sabzi, samosa, patty, tea and coffee. The IRCTC run Indian Railways pantry kept serving the best Indian food all along the train journey, from veg and non veg thali to breakfast and snacks. Everything fresh and hot.
