Mackenzie experienced unexplained fatigue, random fainting, and prolonged bleeding, leading to a leukemia diagnosis called acute myeloid leukemia. As a second year medical student, Mackenzie reviewed her lab results as they came through her portal, and she knew she had cancer. In this video, Taylor reacts to people finding out about their diagnoses through the internet and more specifically MyChart and patient portals. Taylor is the content production manager at The Patient Story, and recently received her own diagnosis of oncocytic carcinoma of the thyroid gland.
