In this tutorial you'll learn how to use Total Commander to rename multiple files at once with different names. Total Commander is a shareware file manager for Windows. It also has a bulk rename utility feature. With Total Commander you can also extract full path names for files, add a prefix or suffix to your files, and even how to extract a range of characters from your file names. You can also easily add leading zeros to your file names. So instead of 1,2,3 you get 001 002 etc. It has many advanced renaming options. You can even use ReGEx (regular expressions) to look for patterns. You don't need to create a batch script to rename, you can do it with a few clicks. It can do a LOT more than the built-in File Explorer, e.g., pack and unpack files, access FTP servers, compare files by content, and much more!
