To make up for the global hiring slowdown, these institutes have also considered potential new startups for early slots, says Rajib Maity, Chairperson of the Career Development Centre at IIT-Kharagpur. Chaabi’s CEO Puneet Dhiman shares that students are keen on startups that tackle challenges and provide learning opportunities. Another report by the publication states that the acceptance rate for pre-placement offers (PPOs) at the IITs also increased this year. Cisco, Oracle, Intuit, Goldman Sachs, and P&G are among the companies offering PPOs, the report adds.
