To be technically correct, this is actually a representation of a cap lock pistol, which was the successor to the flintlock, having a percussion cap rather than using flint and steel. I refer to it as a flintlock in a general sense, as it is terminology people would use to refer to "an antique looking pistol" This is a great accessory for a pirate costume, or any other period costume.
