In this video, we're exploring three different white Russian cocktail recipes. From the classic Kahlua version to an elevated version with a local coffee liqueur. Learn how to make a White Russian cocktail at home, the dude's way, as seen in the legendary Coen Brothers film, The Big Lebowski, starring Jeff Bridges. It's one of my favorite kahlua drinks. You can also try an alternative coffee liqueur, such as Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur. After I show you how to make a White Russian drink at home, I'll visit three bowling alleys to see how they make the same cocktail. Will the dude abide? A classic retro bowling alley: Midtown Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia https://www.midtownbowl.com/ ------------------------------- White Russian Cocktail Recipe 2 oz. / 60 ml Smirnoff Vodka 1 oz. / 30 ml Kahlua 1 oz. / 30 ml Half and Half Build in Glass. Pour vodka, Kahlua and half and half over ice and stir. ------------------------------- A few ground rules for One Drink Three Bars: 1. Choose Bars Wisely: Visit three bars likely to have the ingredients for the drink, and at least a vague understanding of how to make it. For example, we won't be going to Margaritaville, expecting them to have the ingredients or glassware for a Vieux Carre. 2. No Secrets: We're allowed to tell the bartender what we're doing, if they ask why we're filming. If they seem into the idea, we can film them making the drink and interview them. If they seem annoyed, or just indifferent, we won't film them, but will find out all we can about how they made the drink. 3. One Per Day: The drinks will be consumed on 3 different days, for fairness, and our health. If we did all three on the same night, we're probably going to like the third, no matter what! 4. Spirit is Bartender's Choice: If the bartender asks us to call a spirits brand, we'll leave it up to them, adding another point of comparison to the lineup. 5. Go during slow times: This shall be attempted on weeknights or early weekend afternoons, so the bars will not be overwhelmed and busy. -------------------------------
