Make sure you do not allow the cola marinate bath to come to a boil. Remove any scum that rises to the surface. 5) Once the pot is simmering, reduce the heat slightly, cover the pot with a lid (but leave a small gap for steam to escape) and simmer for 2 to 2.5 hours. Once done, remove the ham from the cola marinate bath and leave to cool. You can throw away the cola marinate bath, we will not need it anymore. 6) To a small pot, add 2 – 3 tbsps of butter and heat over medium-low heat until it browns nicely. Be careful not to let it burn. Once the butter has browned, the off the heat and add the brown sugar, honey, orange marmalade and orange / grapefruit juice. Heat it over a low heat until everything is well combined and remove it from the stove. 7) Now that the ham has cooled down, remove the rind and excess fat of the ham with a sharp knife. Next, make criss cross cuts over the surface of the ham, and add the cloves. 8) With a pastry brush, glaze the ham with the brown butter sauce and then bake the ham in an oven that has been preheated to 210 degrees celcius (or 410 degrees Fahrenheit). 9) After 10 to 15 minutes, take the ham out of the oven and apply another coat of the glaze and return it to the oven to bake again for another 10 to 15 minutes 10) The ham should now be ready, so remove it from the oven. I recommend using a carving fork and knife when slicing the ham 11) Enjoy!
