Steps: 1. Shut off the water to the spigot. 2. Remove the valve from the spigot by loosening the bonnet with the pliers and a wrench. 3. Remove the washer on the bottom of the valve. It should be held down with a screw that can be loosened with the flathead screwdriver. 4. Replace the washer with one from the kit. Place it on the valve, smooth side out, and tighten the screw back on. 5. Loosen the bonnet to expose more of the thread on the underside of the handle of the valve. 6. Apply Teflon packing around the thread about 1 ¼ times. Tighten the bonnet on top of the Teflon. 7. Use the valve receding tool in the spigot to smooth the seat to receive the new washer. 8.
